Combolands Heirlooms Guide — Stacking, Selling & the Jewellery Box
Heirlooms are the passive backbone of a Combolands build: more than 100 of them, stacking on top of your guild pair to push one cascade further each run. This guide covers how the system works, how selling heirlooms feeds your gold score (changed in patch v1.0.6), and the two heirloom items that unlock a secret guild.
How the Heirloom System Works
- Heirlooms are passives: they modify your economy, triggers, and building behaviour without taking board space
- Over 100 exist in the base game pool, shaped further by which two guilds you picked
- They stack: three heirlooms pushing one cascade beat six heirlooms pushing three different ideas
- The in-run rule of thumb from our builds guide applies doubly here: only take heirlooms that scale the combo you committed to
Heirloom Economy: Selling Is Scoring (v1.0.6)
The August 28, 2026 patch (v1.0.6) quietly changed end-of-run scoring: your final gold score now takes heirloom sell values into consideration. Practically, that means duplicate or off-plan heirlooms are not dead weight — selling them converts into score. The same patch also fixed gems and tomes sometimes failing to enter the jewellery box / bookshelf, so older guides describing lost gems are out of date.
The Two Quest Heirlooms

Reading Heirlooms in the Compendium (v1.0.5)
Before patch v1.0.5, there was no way to look up what your run's heirlooms and buildings actually did after you took them — the community called it the most-requested QoL feature. The Compendium added on August 26, 2026 solves it: open it to inspect buildings, heirlooms, councillors, and even buildings you dismissed from this run's pool. If a guide references hover-info bugs, note they were also fixed in v1.0.6.

Does selling heirlooms affect my score?
Yes. Patch v1.0.6 (Aug 28, 2026) changed the final gold score to take heirloom sell values into consideration — selling spare heirlooms at the end of a run now feeds your score instead of being discarded value.
What is the jewellery box heirloom?
